Liteway Poncho Pyraomm – a poncho and tarp in one

The long-awaited Liteway Poncho Pyraomm is a smart 2-in-1 solution for those who want to reduce both weight and pack volume on the trail. Weighing just 350 grams, it serves as both a rain poncho on the trail and an ultralight tarp/shelter at camp.

By combining two essential pieces of gear into a single product, the Poncho Pyraomm is a truly interesting option for ultralight hiking, thru-hikes, and longer trips where every gram counts.

Protection on the trail—and at camp

As a poncho, it provides generous protection against rain and wind without restricting freedom of movement. The roomy, adjustable hood makes it easy to customize the fit, even when worn over a backpack.

An elastic waist belt with a Fastex buckle keeps the poncho in place in windy conditions, while the front YKK AquaGuard zipper makes it easier to put on and take off and allows for extra ventilation.

At the end of the day, the Poncho Pyraomm can be quickly set up as a shelter using trekking poles and tent stakes. The catenary-cut design helps create a taut and stable structure.

Material

The Poncho Pyraomm is made from 1.1 oz Levitex Silpoly 20D Ripstop with a water column rating of 2000 mm. The material combines low weight with good weather resistance and a small pack volume.

Note: The seams are not factory-sealed. For maximum protection against rain, we recommend sealing the seams with a silicone-based seam sealer, such as McNett Seam Grip + SIL.

Setup as a tarp/shelter

• Stretch out the corners with tent stakes to form a rectangle.
• Use a trekking pole at the top or two poles in an A-shape.
• Make sure the sharp pole tips are protected.
• Tighten the guy lines until the tarp is properly stretched.
• Use additional attachment points as needed, for example in stronger winds.

Using as a poncho

• Put the poncho over your head.
• Wrap the back section around your body and backpack.
• Fasten the elastic waist belt.
• Adjust the hood as needed.
