Lost Equipment - getting lost the right way
It all started with a single quilt - and a change of plan for a summer hike. What started as a side project quickly grew into something bigger. The living room turned into a full-scale workshop with industrial sewing machines, laser cutters and down in the air. Vilse Equipment was born.
Vilse is the Swedish word for getting lost. To many, it sounds like something negative - but to us it means the opposite. To get lost in the landscape. In the silence. In nature. And perhaps most of all, in the feeling of crawling into a super puffy, warm and ultra-light Vilse Quilt after a long day out.
Today, Vilse Equipment is a small, dedicated team based in Malmö, where all customized quilts are sewn by hand. Our sister workshop in Konin, Poland, manufactures our standard models (coming soon). With a strong focus on quality, transparency and local manufacturing, we create thoughtful gear for the growing European ultralight scene.
Each quilt is built with extreme precision - not a stitch wrong, not a thread loose. The result is gear that feels as good in the hand as it does in the wild. Warm without feeling constricted. Lightweight without compromising on comfort. Perfect for those who move around a lot in their sleep, sleep on their side or simply never really enjoyed traditional sleeping bags.
But Vilse is about more than products. It's about the people who use them. We love to hear from our community - feedback, ideas, improvements and dreams for the future. Together we make the equipment better, step by step.
At its core, Getting Lost is about helping more people go further, easier, safer and more comfortable in nature.
