Gramjakt Dig 19 – Titanium Shovel
When nature calls, you want something that weighs next to nothing, takes up little space, and actually works. The Gramjakt Dig 19 is made of titanium, and the shovel itself weighs only 19 grams. With its compact dimensions of 15.5 × 4 cm, it easily fits into your pack.
What sets the Dig 19 apart from many other ultralight shovels we’ve tested is its rigidity. The gently curved shape reinforces the titanium, allowing you to actually apply pressure to the shovel when the ground is hard or compacted. At the same time, the shape provides a stable and comfortable grip.
The Dig 19 also doubles as a small multi-tool. Its shape allows it to be used as a shoehorn and, if needed, even as an extra tent stake. The holes in the shovel can be used as anchor points for, say, a clothesline, guy lines, or other improvised solutions out on a trip.
A protective sheath and a small carabiner are included, making it easy to store the shovel separately or attach it to the outside of your pack.
