The ULA Ultra Catalyst is the largest and most durable backpack in ULA's award-winning ultralight series - designed for long expeditions, larger food loads and hikers who want to combine light weight with maximum comfort and durability.
Like Ultra Circuit, Catalyst is built with advanced Challenge Ultra™ materials, with Ultra 400X used in the most exposed areas for maximum durability and Ultra 200X used where lower weight is a priority. The result is a backpack that is extremely durable, highly water resistant and at the same time surprisingly light for its size and carrying capacity.
Challenge Ultra™ is one of the most advanced materials in ultralight gear - up to 15 times stronger than steel by weight and significantly more durable than traditional nylon fabrics. The UltraStretch™ mesh front pocket also provides high elasticity and extra resistance to abrasion.
Ultra Catalyst is built to carry heavier loads comfortably for long days on the trail. The advanced carrying system with carbon fiber arch, aluminum stay and internal foam frame provides stability, efficient weight transfer and high comfort even when the pack is heavy.

Size guide - Back length
How to measure your back length:
Stand up straight and tilt your chin towards your chest. Find your C7 vertebra - the distinct bump at the base of your neck. Measure with a flexible tape measure along the natural curve of your spine down to the top of your hip bone. The measurement corresponds to your back length.
Tip: If you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller size.
