The Deuce of Spades is an ultralight backpacking trowel that can easily dig in soil, rip through pine needles, and move out rocks. Made of 7075-T6 aluminum, this 6.8 inch long trowel will easily make the perfect size cathole. Digging out hard soil or in a hurry? Use the handle for 4x the digging power! The Deuce's strength comes from its curved 'U' shape. Levering and scooping by bracing against the bottom of the 'U' shape, the Deuce® is amazingly strong and tough. BUT if you pry by bracing the Deuce against the open side of the 'U', it's much less strong. So please avoid using it that way.
