The Skalmo Octa Hoodie 80 is a lightweight, technically advanced piece of outerwear designed for movement in cold and changing conditions—now with a cleaner construction, without the inside-out design, but with the same well-thought-out functionality.

We’ve stripped away the unnecessary and focused on what really makes a difference: the material, the fit, and the feel when worn. The result is a clean Octa® hoodie that performs just as well when you’re active as when you’re at rest.

With 80 g/m² of Octa® insulation, you get a garment that balances warmth and ventilation in a way few other materials can. The open-cell structure effectively wicks away moisture while retaining heat close to the body—allowing you to wear it for most of your hike without having to take it on and off.

The design is inspired by our Alpha Hoodie, featuring the same minimalist hood and drawcords for a secure and adjustable fit in wind and cold.

Although the construction is now clean and optimized to be worn right-side out, you can still wear it inside out if you want a cooler feel and increased wind resistance during activity.

About the material: Octa® Fleece

Octa® Fleece is an active insulation material developed to perform while you’re on the move.
The hollow fibers trap heat efficiently without adding weight, while the open construction allows excess heat and moisture to escape.

The result is a material that feels warm when you need it—and cool when you’re active.
