The Raynham Waterproof All Weather Mid Length Sock from Sealskinz is a pair of waterproof socks that are designed to withstand all types of weather and are particularly suitable for those of us who often hike in trailrunners. When it's dry, trail runners breathe easily and dry quickly, but during long wet periods it can be a challenge to keep your feet warm and protected. These socks provide the extra protection and warmth needed to keep your feet comfortable even when the weather is at its most challenging.
The socks are made with a water column of 20,000 mm, ensuring a high level of protection against wetness, while breathing and wicking away moisture. With a stretchy and tight-fitting membrane and elastic all around, they sit firmly on the foot and reduce the risk of blisters - a big plus for long hiking stages.
The inner layer of the sock is partly made of merino wool, which has excellent properties for humid environments. Merino wool insulates even when wet, providing warmth whether the moisture comes from rain or sweat. What's more, wool is naturally odor-resistant and temperature-regulating, keeping feet fresh and comfortable during longer hikes.
This model is also padded underfoot for extra comfort. Sealskinz uses a Climate Guide scale to show the level of insulation, and the Raynham Waterproof Sock has a level of 2 out of 5 - ideal for mild to medium cold conditions.
