Description

Article no.: 3106-Lux

Alpenblow Lux – stronger, faster, and with built-in lighting

The Alpenblow Lux is an ultralight electric pump for inflating sleeping pads—now faster, more powerful, and with several smart features for camping.

Weighing just 13.7 grams, you get a pump that weighs a fraction of traditional electric pumps, yet offers significantly more power than the original Alpenblow Classic. The Lux version also features two built-in reading lights, a deflation function, and mood lighting.

Note: The Alpenblow Lux does not have a built-in battery. It is powered via USB and can be connected to, for example, a power bank or a compatible smartphone.

What’s new compared to the Alpenblow Classic?

  • 2× faster inflation
  • 80% higher pressure to accommodate even thicker sleeping pads
  • Two built-in reading lights for cozy lighting inside the tent
  • Deflation port for faster packing
  • 50% lower energy consumption per inflation
  • Multiple light and sound modes

While the original Alpenblow Classic is optimized to be as lightweight as possible for ultralight sleeping pads, the Alpenblow Lux has been made a few extra grams heavier to become a more complete pump. Its higher power output makes it suitable even for thicker sleeping pads, while the built-in lights allow you to use it even after the sleeping pad is inflated.

Ultralight pump with multiple functions

The Alpenblow Lux is more than just a pump. By pressing the triangle-shaped logo while the fan is running, you can switch between the different functions.

  • Inflation/deflation – the lights begin to pulse when the sleeping pad is fully inflated and air is no longer flowing.
  • Low brightness
  • Medium brightness
  • High brightness
  • Candle Flicker – a flickering, warm light that evokes the feeling of a small flame.
  • White Noise – the fan runs at half speed and automatically turns off after 30 minutes.
  • Ocean Surf – a soothing sound of waves with a 30-minute automatic shut-off.
  • Off – or simply unplug the USB cable.

Compatible with many sleeping pads

The Alpenblow Lux comes with adapters for several of the most common valve types on the market.

  • Therm-a-Rest WingLock
  • EXPED
  • NEMO
  • Big Agnes
  • Sea to Summit
  • Zenbivy Flex
  • Zenbivy Ultralight

Note: The Zenbivy Light pad is not supported.

Lantern Leash included

With the Alpenblow Lux, you also get the Lantern Leash, an ultralight, flexible strap weighing just 0.9 grams. It lets you easily hang or attach the pump to, for example, a NOBO, M!GO, or Thru bottle and use the Lux as a small camping lantern.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I turn on the light and the other features?
When the fan is running, press the triangle-shaped logo to switch between the different modes.

How do I turn off the fan or the light?
Simply unplug the Alpenblow Lux from the USB power source.

Can the Alpenblow Lux be used with vacuum bags?
No. The pump can create a vacuum to extract air, but it is not designed to compress clothing in vacuum bags.

Can I use adapters I already have for the Alpenblow Classic?
Yes. The Alpenblow Lux uses the same interface as the original Alpenblow, which means existing adapters and accessories can be used.

Is the Alpenblow Lux 3D-printed?
No. None of the Lux components are 3D-printed. Only the Lux Leash and certain separately sold adapters are manufactured using additive manufacturing.

My power bank turns off when I use the lights. What should I do?
Some power banks automatically shut off when power consumption gets too low. In that case, hold down the button for about 3 seconds to activate a mode where the fan runs quietly at low speed and draws enough power to prevent the power bank from shutting off.

Most smartphones do not have this type of automatic shut-off and can therefore be used as an alternative power source.

Does the Alpenblow Lux work with my INIU power bank via USB-C?
Some specific INIU models may have issues with USB-C and Power Delivery negotiation. A new circuit board version is currently being developed to resolve the issue. In the meantime, you can use a USB-A to USB-C cable or power the pump from a smartphone.

A small pump that packs a punch

Weighing just13.7 grams, this more powerful pump features built-in lighting and several smart functions. The Alpenblow Lux is a perfect example of how an ultralight accessory can make life on the trail easier without weighing down your pack.

For those who want to keep weight down but still have a fast and convenient electric pump for their sleeping pad, the Alpenblow Lux is a very well-rounded option.
