Do I need to pay extra charges if I am from a country within the European Union?
Sweden is a member of the EU and therefore all prices for countries within the EU include a VAT corresponding to your home country. In other words, the price you see is the price you pay in total. All taxes and VAT are included in the price.
What delivery methods do you use?
Sweden:
We deliver orders via courier service DHL or Postnord
Abroad:
Shipping services within the EU and abroad are DHL Parcel Connect
Express delivery?
At the moment we do not offer express deliveries as there is no courier that can guarantee overnight delivery throughout the EU and shipping usually takes as long as standard.
How much is the shipping cost to my country?
The shipping cost varies depending on the country, the weight of the product, the size of the package and so on - but here is an abbreviated version of the shipping cost calculation:
Within Sweden:
75 sek for all packages within Sweden, free shipping from 999kr
Shipping rates are automatically updated depending on where you order from and what you order.
How can I pay?
Swedish customers: Klarna checkout, Swish, Paypal
Norwegian, Finnish and German customers: Klarna checkout (invoicing and direct payment), Paypal
All other nations: Klarna and Paypal
Notice for Paypal users:
Before placing your final order, please be sure to confirm that your shipping address is correct within Paypal. Paypal has a long history and can sometimes use an old address in the order.
When will my order be shipped?
All in-stock items are usually shipped the same day we receive the order, if the order is placed before 12.00. Otherwise, the order will be shipped the next working day after the order is placed, at the latest within 2 working days.
Why haven't I received a confirmation message yet?
Please check your spam/junk folder. If you cannot find an order confirmation, please contact us at info@backpackinglight.se
How can I track my order?
We always send tracking numbers with link, where you can track your order. Right now we only have those in English but, we are working on getting it in Swedish :)
What about refunds or exchanges?
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the unused item in its original packaging within 30 days. Refunds will be issued in the same payment method as the original payment.
Tents: It is important to make sure that if you are returning a tent, you wipe it clean of all grass and dirt - if you happen to set it up beforehand. Try to pack it properly - much like you received it.
Backpacks: Be sure to clean completely, double check that no items are left in the pack
Sleeping mats, cushions and pillows: make sure you pack it as new - remove all dust, dog hair and dirt from the item otherwise no refund will be given.
Sleeping bags and duvets: Make sure all tags are still on the items, packed properly and are new. Please do not use the product for two weeks and then send back.
Kitchens, pots and pans: must be brand new otherwise no refund will be offered.
Do you sell to customers outside the European Union without VAT?
We can sell our products to customers outside the European Union without VAT. We have implemented geolocation on our website, so you can see prices without VAT if you choose your location.
The shipping cost will be displayed at checkout once the webshop has calculated the total weight.

What about the guarantee?
All products we sell are new, direct from the manufacturer with full warranty.
If you have a problem with a product, it is usually easiest and quickest to contact the manufacturer directly and they will instruct us in return on what needs to be done. Otherwise, we usually act as an intermediary and have to wait for a two-way response, which can extend the time it takes for a product to be replaced or refunded.
