The White and Green Belt is about traveling under your own power between Grövelsjön in the south and Treriksröset in the north, or vice versa - a distance of about 130 miles through the Scandinavian mountain range. The journey is made without long stops and without outside help, and can be done all year round.
The color of the bands indicates the season in which the trip was made. Regardless of the season, the band is based on independence, endurance and respect for the environment, nature and culture you travel through.
You can find more information about the White and Green Bands, as well as our articles and experiences, on our blog. You can find more information here.
If you are planning to do the White or Green Ribbon, you are always welcome to contact us. We are happy to help with equipment selection, pre-booking or delivery to the various depots of the tour. Email us at info@backpackinglight.se or call us to discuss your packing. Everyone who is registered for the band also receives a discount code that applies to our entire range.
A long mountain tour places high demands on the equipment. The pack needs to be as light as possible, but at the same time robust enough to withstand long-term wear and tear in tough and changing conditions. In addition to our own tests, we have therefore compiled a survey based on the equipment choices of people who have completed the Green Belt. The aim is to show what equipment is actually used when it really matters - not what works in theory.
