Skalmo - The DCF Pot Holder

Skalmo DCF Potholder – only 4.33 grams

The Skalmo DCF Potholder is exactly what the name suggests: a super-lightweight storage bag for a classic 550, 650, or 750 ml cooking pot with a 95 mm diameter. We glue and sew each bag here in Umeå, using lightweight 0.8 DCF.

The bag weighs just 4.33 grams, as measured on diamond scales. Compared to a standard bag weighing 15.8 grams, you save about 11 grams—a small detail that makes a big difference when every gram counts in your pack.

Your entire kitchen in one compact package

With a gas canister and burner that fit inside the pot, you can pack your entire kitchen into the bag. The drawstring keeps the package together and helps keep the pot lid closed. The result is a very compact kitchen in your backpack, with extra weight as light as a feather—just the way we like it!

And yes, the bag is good for much more than just the pot. Use it for an inflatable pillow, electronics, or small items you want to keep organized in your backpack. The drawstring makes it easy to open and close.

The bottom is taped to protect against moisture from below, so the bag can be placed on wet grass. The side seam is sewn but not taped.

Fun fact: every little bit counts—even in grams

At Skalmo, every gram counts. Eleven grams on a single bag might sound like a small thing, but if you save a few grams on each item, the difference adds up in the end. Ten grams on twenty items suddenly means 200 grams less to carry. We think unnecessary weight is welcome to stay home—it doesn’t appreciate the view anyway.
