Durston's factory-made groundsheet offers better protection and a cleaner floor surface for your X-Mid tent. The included X-Mid floor is durable enough to last hundreds of nights without a ground sheet, provided it is used carefully on regular surfaces. A ground sheet is recommended for camping on harder surfaces (e.g. rock, gravel), to provide a higher level of protection against unexpected objects and to keep your tent cleaner.
QUALITY
While many companies are content to sell you a piece of Tyvek or a simple piece of fabric, we believe that ground covers should be built to the same high quality standards as the tent you use it with.
Our ground shelters are made with state-of-the-art specialty materials and construction methods. Unlike possibly any other company, our ground covers are fully double-stitched, have double hemmed edges (to hide the raw fabric edges), have generous bartacking and reinforce all connection points.
Unnecessary perhaps, but for a negligible weight difference we can create a ground cover to be proud of.
STANDARD GROUND PROTECTION
The regular X-mid ground sheets fit the regular and Solid series tents.
Because the inner tent is removable in these tents, these groundsheets maximize versatility by having the same cords in the corners as the inner tent, so the tent can be used without the inner tent in fly + ground sheet mode. For greater simplicity, you can remove the cords and re-clip the clips directly to the corners so that they clip onto the floor corners.
To install the ground sheet, slide it under the tent with the logo side up and clip it to the four corners of the fly.
PRO GROUND PROTECTION
The Pro ground protectors are designed for the Pro series tents.
As the inner tent cannot be removed from the Pro tents, these ground protectors maximize the simplicity and weight concepts by clipping them to the four corners of the fly.
To install the ground sheet, slide it under the tent with the logo side up and clip it to the four corners of the floor.
