Weighing in at just 348 grams. The Zpacks Plex Solo is one of the world’s lightest full-size one-person tents, designed for weight-conscious hikers who want to carry as little as possible without compromising on weather protection or functionality. With a single-pole setup, a small footprint, and a well-thought-out design, the Plex Solo is the perfect choice for everything from Swedish mountain hikes to long thru-hikes.

The tent combines low weight with impressive interior volume and offers a sleeping length of 230 cm. The design is best suited for hikers up to approximately 183 cm tall, while taller individuals are recommended to consider the Altaplex.

NOTE! The tent is pitched using a 132 cm hiking pole or tent pole. At least six tent stakes are required, and ten are recommended in windy conditions. Tent stakes are not included.

Note: All seams are factory-taped, so the tent does not need to be seam-sealed.

Minimalism with maximum functionality

The Plex Solo is designed to provide maximum functionality with as few components as possible. The overlapping storm flaps eliminate the need for zippers, saving weight and reducing the risk of wear and tear over time. At the same time, this creates a natural airflow that provides good ventilation even without additional ventilation openings.

In nice weather, both doors can be left open for a view and ventilation. In rain or wind, the side facing the wind is closed while the other can be left open to maintain air circulation. The vestibule provides space for a backpack, shoes, and other gear you want to keep protected but outside the sleeping area.

The inner tent’s rainbow-shaped door opens easily regardless of which storm door is in use. The door folds inward when opened and therefore does not need to be rolled up or secured out of the way.

Protection Against Rain and Condensation

The high, tub-shaped floor is set back from the edge of the outer tent and provides effective protection against rain splashes, ground moisture, and condensation runoff. During light rain, one or both doors can often be left open for better ventilation without water reaching the sleeping area.

For extra protection during heavy rain, the inner tent door can be pulled back using the included guy lines to reduce the risk of rain splashes.

An integrated mesh pocket at the front of the tent provides easy access to your cell phone, headlamp, glasses, and other small items from both the inside and outside.

Dyneema® Composite Fabric

The Plex Solo is made from Dyneema® Composite Fabric—one of the lightest and strongest tent materials on the market. The material is completely waterproof, does not stretch when wet, and absorbs virtually no water, which means the tent stays taut and its weight remains the same even on rainy days.

Material specifications:

All materials are PFAS-free and completely free of DWR treatments or other coatings that can wear off over time.
