Poncho Simplex
The Poncho Simplex is designed for hikers who want to get the most out of every gram in their pack. By combining a rain poncho and a tarp into a single product, it replaces two separate pieces of gear and frees up both weight and space in your backpack.
As a poncho, it provides generous coverage over both you and your backpack. The roomy fit doesn’t restrict your freedom of movement, while the longer back panel offers extra protection for your backpack and legs on rainy hiking days.
The adjustable hood ensures a comfortable fit, and the included elastic waist belt keeps the poncho in place even in windy conditions. Side straps allow the belt to be easily attached and prevent the poncho from flapping in the wind.
When it’s time to set up camp, the Poncho Simplex quickly transforms into an ultralight tarp with several different setup options. The catenary-cut design provides a taut and stable tension while the material withstands both rain and wind.
Seam Sealing
The seams are not factory-sealed. For the best weather protection, we recommend sealing them with a silicone-based sealant, such as McNett Seam Grip + SIL (formerly McNett Silnet Seam Sealer).
