Getting sponsored by Backpackinglight.se

We get a lot of request for sponsorship, getting free gear and so on. We understand that a everyone has a lot to offer, and we would love to be able to help out everyone. Unfortunately this simply isn't possible so we have to go through and choose depending on what a potential sponsoree might be able to offer over the standard ”Instagram” hashtags and so on.

We are not always interested in sponsoring hikers with the largest instagram or YouTube channels. Usually if a channel is big, than it’s probably too big for our shop - after all we are a small shop. We are interested in a certain kind of hiker. One that knows lightweight gear and has a specific following in a that market. We don't sponsor hikers outside of the Europe as our market is Europe.

Tell us your story and what you are looking for and what you can offer. Tell us a story that peaks our interest, why will we, as fellow hikers, want to follow your hike? What are you doing that will make other hikers interested? 

Of course, even if you don't have a story or an Instagram account, there are different ways we can help each other. At this moment we are looking for lovers of the outdoors and gear nerds to do overview videos of gear for our YouTube channel. (which by the way would give you great exposure for you and your own channel) as well as trip videos that we can use for our own channel. We need specific functions on our site to be completed: Such as graphics, text editing (Swedish) and even write gear reviews for product descriptions.

We won't say yes to everyone, but at this moment it is certainly worth dropping us a line and asking. Just make sure you have a clear idea in what you are looking for and what you can offer in return! Don’t be discouraged if we don’t write back. Just go through what you have written, what you are offering and send it again. Sometimes we get too many request that we simply can’t reply to all of them, so we just say reply to the ones we are interested in.
