To install the hip belt: Due to logistical issues, the hip belt must be shipped uninstalled from the backpack. It is very easy to install, but important to do it right otherwise the backpack may break. We will not replace broken backpacks due to incorrect installation.
Step 1: Remove the hip belt and find the two fasteners on the "carabiner side" ie - where all carabiners are located. There are two thick fabric brackets where the aluminum frame should be inserted.
Step 2: Remove the seat cushion from the back of the backpack.
Step 3: Open the backpack and find the carabiner at the top that holds the aluminum frame. Open it up and lift the frame up a few centimeters.
Step 4: Install the hip belt by opening up the back of the backpack and inserting the hip belt.
Step 5: Match the aluminum frame with the two brackets of the hip belt and push the frame down into the two brackets.
Step 6: Make sure all the carabiners are fastened together and in the right place and the fastener at the top of the backpack is closed again.
