We at Backpackinglight have been following the development of the Padje Ultralight for a long time - and have been in regular contact with Lukas Mayer, who tested the backpack during his trek through New Zealand. To say we've been waiting for this bag is almost an understatement.

The Padje Ultralight 45 L is Lundhag's take on modern lightweight hiking, where every detail has been worked out to provide maximum function at minimum weight. This is not just a lightweight backpack - it is a technically advanced and very well-balanced ultra-bag that actually delivers even when the tours become long and demanding.

The design work, signed Håkan, is clearly noticeable. Here is a well thought-out whole where carrying comfort, durability and smart access interact. The unique 360° frame provides stability without adding unnecessary weight, and together with the vest-like carrying system, the backpack sits close to the body and moves naturally in step.

The material selection is also at a level that stands out. The Ultra™ fabrics (200X and 400X) are based on UHMWPE - a fiber that is up to 15 times stronger than steel in relation to weight. The result is a backpack that combines extreme durability with very low weight and high weather resistance, without the need for extra treatments. In exposed zones, UltraStretch™ is used - a flexible and durable material that provides both freedom of movement and durability where it is needed most.

At 45 liters, this model is designed for multi-day hikes and long-distance adventures. It keeps your pack stable while providing quick access via generous side pockets, a large front pocket and smart solutions for gear you want to reach on the move.

Padje Ultralight 45 L is, quite simply, one of the most interesting lightweight backpacks we've seen in a long time - and clear proof that you don't have to choose between light weight, comfort and durability.

Sizes available

The Padje Ultralight 45 L is available in three back lengths (S-M-L) and covers a wide range of body types.
For the best fit we recommend you start from your back (torso) length, but as a guideline fits:

• S: shorter back / smaller body length: approx. 40-46 cm back length
• M: normal back length: about 44-50 cm back length
• L: longer back / longer body: about 48-54 cm back length
