Six moon designs MINIMALIST V2 50L ULTRALIGHT BACKPACK

Included: Shoulder harness + Hipbelt Medium

The Minimalist V2 is redesigned for even more function.

Six Moon Design has listened to their customers' feedback and made version number 2 even better. The Minimalist V2 is still the perfect size to fit all your gear but now has even better straps but above all bigger and more durable pockets.

Size Guide

About Minimalist

Despite being called Minimalist, this backpack has everything you need. The same comfort as the heavier backpacks but both the frame and hip belt are removable so you can scale it down to suit your needs. If you need to fill it with more stuff than usual, the outer pockets allow for a surprising amount of extra space.

The main bag holds 40L and the pockets a total of 9L. This includes the pocket in the top lid, on the sides and the large center pocket.

The pockets are easy to access if you need clothes, snacks or water close at hand.

  • Functional hip belt pockets
  • Includes add-on pockets for electrical gadgets, snacks or other necessities
  • 2 large asymmetrical side pockets, the shorter pocket is perfect for carrying a water bottle, the taller pocket can be used to store your tarp, tent or carry something larger.
  • The large pocket is perfect for rain gear, trash or anything else you want to keep close at hand.
The Minimalist V2 offers several adjustable straps and buckles to ensure a stable and comfortable fit. The Delrin Hoop Frame is designed to move the weight of the buttocks to the hip belt , reducing strain on the shoulders and upper body. Minimalist V2 comes in Challange Sailclothe EPX 200 Ecopack

FRAME CONFIGURATION

The Minimalist has a removable Delrin Hoop Stay Frame. The end of the frame rests on the bottom of the hip belt and thus transfers the weight to the hip belt. This design feature makes it more comfortable to carry heavy loads.Using the Delrin Hoop Stay and the hip belt together increases the load capacity of the backpack by approximately 4.5 kg.

FRAME-LESS CONFIGURATION

The Minimalist is the only ultra-light, frameless pack on the market with adjustable torso length. This allowsthe Minimalist to provide unrestrained comfort. When configured as frameless , the carrying weight should not exceed 11kg

CARRYING HARNESS

Vest Harness

Vest Harness Six Moon Designs' unique vest harness supports a 6-point connection between the sack and your body. There are several advantages to this system:

1. it locks the pack completely to your body, eliminating swaying or bouncing as you walk or run.

2. instead of the entire weight of the pack resting on your shoulders and hips, the vest harness transfers some of that weight to your core. This reduces and eliminates pressure sores on shoulders and hips.

3. The vest harness comes with extra pockets , providing additional storage options for quick access.

Health benefits of vest harness: Because the vest harness spreads the load-bearing to the center of the back, most hikers find that it reduces back pain. Founder Ron Moak recognized this right from the start. After a cancer treatment , Moak found he could only manage a couple hours of hiking before he needed to stop due to severe back pain. A vest harness redistributed his weight so he could walk more upright. This extra support allowed him to walk longer distances with less pain. That' s why the first backpack he designed incorporated the vest harness. If you haven 't been able to backpack as easily and for as long as you once did, you might want to seriously consider the vest harness. We're not claiming that the vest harness is a miracle cure, but it did help Moak get back to really enjoying backpacking again. And we hope it can help you too.

Shoulder straps: Standard Harness

There are several reasons why you might choose a standard harness:

  1. If you are used to wearing traditional backpacks and not running backpacks then you will probably be comfortable with the standard shoulder straps that this backpack has.
  2. If you are a full-breasted woman or a broad-breasted man, you may find the vest harness uncomfortable. In this case, S-Curve shoulder straps can provide a better hiking experience.
  3. The regular shoulder straps are easier to slip out of if you want to take a longer break without the weight of the pack.
