Five replaceable carbon filter cartridges
Each carbon filter cartridge can be used for up to three months after first use. Replace the cartridge every three months, or sooner if you notice that the taste or odor is starting to return in the filtered water.
Important: After first use, do not allow the hollow-fiber filter to freeze. Water remaining in the membrane can freeze and damage the hollow fibers. In sub-zero temperatures, the filter should therefore be kept warm, for example, inside your sleeping bag overnight.
