This design combines the classic dome tent shape with ideas from our patented StratoSpire series and its offset layout dating back to 2011. The name ArcDome comes both from the shape of the tent and from the Arc Dome Wilderness in Nevada, one of our favorite areas.

Use for 4 seasons

The ArcDome 2 is designed as a 4-season tent, which means it uses stronger, more durable - and therefore heavier - materials. Despite this, it's still lighter than many 3-season tents.

Do I need to tape the seams on the ArcDome?

The outer tent is factory sealed, but the sil-nylon floor needs sealing to be completely waterproof. We include a small seam sealing kit with each tent, and the sealing can easily be done indoors on a table.

Weight characteristics

Designed as a four-season tent, the ArcDome Ultra uses stronger, more durable - and therefore heavier - materials. Despite this, it is still lighter than many three-season tents. For users not primarily planning winter or alpine trips, we recommend our significantly lighter three- and three-season-plus tents.

Do I need to seal the seams on the ArcDome Ultra?

The outer tent is fully sealed and waterproofed from the factory, but the silnylon floor needs seam sealing to be fully waterproof. We include a mini-kit for seam sealing with each tent, so you can easily do it yourself indoors on a table.
