These are some of my favorite poles; extremely light at 158grams, compact, durable and cheap! Fizan is the first company to ever produce aluminum poles and these are made in Italy. Italy has been producing rods since 1947.

The Compact 1947 Desert is a hiking pole designed to celebrate the year Fizan was founded. The design combines a distinct retro feel with modern details. The cork-like EVA handle provides both comfort and a classic look, while the aluminum construction with carbide tip ensures durability and stability in varied terrain.

The graphics on the pole are inspired by the texture of the handle, creating a uniform, stylish look. To further reinforce the historical connection, the top of the poles are adorned with the original 1947 Fizan logo.

Like the other models in the Compact series, this is a three-section telescopic pole (17/16/14 mm) with the reliable Flexy adjustment system with expanders. It's easy to adjust as needed and compact to pack - only 59 cm when folded and up to 132 cm when fully extended.

The pole comes with practical accessories: two troughs (35 mm and 50 mm), rubber feet and a storage bag for easy transportation and protection when not in use.

Collapsible hiking poles

Featuring some of the lightest compact poles on the market, the Fizan Compact Series is great for hiking, backpacking and any outdoor activity that requires extra stability and support. The black Compact 3 poles are made of aluminum and come with two types of snowshoes, removable neoprene wrist straps and rubber tips for pulling on rocks. Each rod weighs 158grams, with three collapsible sections ranging from 58cm-132cm. The cork grip sits comfortably and securely in the hand.
