Skalmo founded by Kenneth Shaw in Umeå, Sweden produces and specialises in ultralight gear for the long distance hiker. Gear meant to withstand anything the mountains of Northern Sweden can throw at it, and still be light enough for even the most demanding gram counter. All of our tents, tarps and gear is made in Umeå in northern Sweden. Or Norrland as swedes themselves like to say.
