The X-Dome™ 2 is an ultra-lightweight, fully self-contained tent developed with a focus on smart design to offer more space, higher protection and maximum ease of use. Weighing only 1.25 kg, this is one of the lightest double-walled two-person tents while offering unrivaled stability and comfort in tough conditions.

Spacious & comfortable

The X-Dome 2 is a true two-person tent with a floor width of 130 cm along its entire length, allowing two wide sleeping pads to fit easily. The floor is also 224 cm long with almost vertical walls, giving even tall hikers plenty of legroom.

The tent has an impressive internal height of 110 cm, which is 8-15 cm higher than many comparable tents. Thanks to the clever design of the cross pole and vertical side walls, the height is maintained over a larger part of the tent - providing 20-40% more volume than the competition.

The two vestibules of 0.83 m² each easily accommodate large backpacks and also have extra space for cooking, shoes or wet clothes.

Protection in all weathers

X-Dome 2 is built to withstand tough conditions. The reinforced carbon fiber poles are stronger than aluminum but lighter in weight, and the structure can be further strengthened with trekking poles for added stability in wind and snow loads.

The flysheet is made of 15D silpolyester which does not stretch when wet, dries quickly and protects effectively against rain and wind. The fly-first-pitch design keeps the inner tent dry even when pitching in the rain. The low outer fabric stops draughts and splashes, and the double-walled construction reduces condensation.

Overhanging doors keep the rain out at the entrance and exit, and the generously sized vestibules provide plenty of space for wet gear.

Simplicity & function

The X-Dome 2 is designed to be quick and intuitive to travel. The rectangular base allows the tent to be pitched in any order - with the outer tent first in the rain, or the inner tent first on clear nights. In addition, the inner and outer tents can be pre-assembled for the fastest possible set-up.

The large and tall doors are angled for easy passage and better protection against rain, and open/close with magnetic closure and easy-to-operate zippers. Inside, multiple pockets, hanging loops and cleverly placed compartments provide a smooth and thoughtful user experience.
